Directions
By car
From the Mass Pike:
Take the exit for Cambridge/Allston (it's on the left). After the
toll booth, bear to the right to go towards Cambridge. The DoubleTree Guest
Suites Hotel will be on your right. Go over the river and continue through
the traffic light (DO NOT get in the right lane as you get on the bridge,
this is a turn only lane!). Now you are on River Street. Continue on River
Street for about 3/4 of a mile and pass through Central Square - you will
see a Starbucks ahead of you to the right. River Street becomes Prospect Street.
Continue on Prospect Street for another 3/4 of a mile. The 5th traffic light
should be Cambridge Street. Make a left, the gallery is one block down. Park
at any of the metered spaces on the street.
From I-93:
Take the Cambridge/Storrow Drive exit. Follow the signs for Storrow
Drive. Continue on Storrow Drive past Downtown Boston. Take the exit for Central
Square and make a right to go over the Charles River. Follow the directions
as for the Mass Pike below.
By public transportation
Take the red line (subway) to Harvard Square. Exit as close as possible to Harvard Yard. Catch the 69 bus in front of Holyoke Gate towards Inman Square. When you see a large 5 way intersection with landmarks including a coffee shop (1369 Cafe), a bank, a cleaner's, and an indian restaurant (Punjabi Dhaba), get off of the bus. The Zeitgeist will be on the opposite side of the street.
On foot
From Harvard Square:
Walk north through Harvard Yard towards the Science Center. Once
you exit the gates, make a right and walk past Sanders Theatre, which will
be on your left. Now you are on Cambridge Street. Walk about 3/4 of a mile
until you hit Inman Square. It is about a 20 minute brisk walk.
From Central Square:
Walk north on Prospect Street (past Starbucks). Walk for about a
mile, Cambridge St will cross perpendicular to Prospect. Take a left onto
Cambridge St. Walk about a block, the Zeitgeist Gallery will be on your right.
It is about a 20 minute brisk walk.
