wedding countdown

the craziness continues...9 days until the wedding! there have been some almost-bridezilla moments (i.e., calling the baker about a bazillion times and him never remembering to call us back), but generally things are going smoothly. Wayne finally finally picked out a suit two days ago...the tailor chided him for waiting so long. Ha!

I'm pretty excited that our families will finally meet...it's kinda weird that my parents have never met wayne's dad in the five years that we've been together. and it's great that (almost) all of our friends are going to be in one place! bowling nonetheless!

i'm really glad too that we took the time to write the ceremony how we wanted it. It would have been easier and faster to just pick out some pre-written ones, but they just didn't sound like us. It was really important to have them be from our hearts - maybe that sounds cheesy but i don't know if i could go through with it if it wasn't. This whole getting married thing is such a process - also realizing that it's a marker and a transition. I guess the important thing is to do everything mindfully and to not get worried about things too much because it'll all work out - sometimes it's easy to forget that.

i just have my fingers crossed that it won't rain next saturday...
