you know you're in New York when...

you see Harvey Keitel casually walking down the street with his wife.

Weird.

And that you accidentally find the restaurant that was featured in a documentary that you saw a few months ago that you've been wanting to try.

You do spot famous people walking down the street in New York once in awhile. I have seen my share of celebrities. New Yorker are very good at not crowding the famous people. I guess that is why they like to be in New York.

Funny, I thought that seeing Harvey Keitel was when I knew that I was in LA. He started frequenting the local Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf near Santa Monica High School. I'm of the same non-pluss(sp?) approach to star strickenness...in LA you always play star sightings on the down low. It's a living, you know?

Was he wearing all black? All the times that I saw him, he was wearing all black, and driving a black car...and carrying a black male purse.
