I come up with album and band names on a semi-regular basis. sort of out of nowhere. When I'm just sitting around, and I say something, or someone else says something, and I think to myself, "wow, that's a good album/band name! too bad i'm not in a band." so i'll post them as they come up, since I get all frustrated when I try to actually think of a band name and I can't recall the hundreds or so that I've come up with already.

so somehow my sister managed to get two tickets to the upcoming showing of all 3 movies in the Lord of Rings trilogy. That's right, all three movies (the extended version of the first two!) in one sitting. I have a feeling that we're going to turn into zombies. Don't get me wrong...but do I really want to spend 12 hours straight in a movie theater? I'm going to have to refrain from drinking any liquids and possibly bring instant ramen so i won't have to leave my seat.

sigh. I love LOTR, but i'm not THAT obsessed. I should just show up dressed as a Star Wars character and say, "what do you mean?? what's this sauron crap? where the hell's darth vader?? "

so today i finally gave up my last piece of identification that marked me as a native New Jerseyan. Of course I waited until the very last minute before my old driver's license expired (so the photo didn't look like me at all anymore), so I could proudly walk into any bar in New England, proclaiming that I was from the tri-state area (take that you Red Sox fans!). now what am I?? After almost 8 years of living in Massachusetts, I am now identified as permanently hailing from Massachusetts. I don't know how I feel about that. Well, at least the lady at the DMV heaped praises on me for signing up to be an organ donor.

ugh, i somehow caught a cold this weekend. of course right before my birthday. so updates will have to wait while i down some nyquil and sleep it off.

There's this guy that i see around town ALL THE TIME. Just randomly. On the T. Downtown. Around the neighborhood. I have no idea what his name is, he just always happens to be somewhere at the same time I am. And it's not like I have a set schedule of when I do things.

Wayne and I call him "the Dude". We'll be on the T, and one of us will spot him, and we'll jab each other and say "look, it's the Dude!" I've never actually gotten the courage to say something to him, like, "hey, i see you around a lot. Nice to meet you!" It just always seems contrived and weird.

I haven't seen the Dude in a while. We went out last night to a club, and I randomly thought to myself, "wouldn't it be funny if we saw the Dude tonite?" Low and behold, the Dude sits down next to Wayne. I poke Wayne and he laughs.

Unfortunately, the Dude happened to be in the band that was playing that night. I say "unfortuntately" because the band was godawful. So now I think that if I ever run in to the Dude and I have to actually say something to him, the only thing that would come out of my mouth would be, "so, um. Your band kinda sucks. Sorry Dude."

Finally I've gotten around to redoing my entire site, from scratch. So please bear with me over the next few days as I get all of the files up there and test. This is my first foray into Movable Type, so I'm learning...slowly slowly.
